Product Information

This is the ordinary WV gymnastics ball with one change that makes all the difference: bells are sealed inside the core. Roll it, bounce it or throw it and it announces itself, so a blind or partially sighted player can join a game without anyone changing the rules for them. The shell is natural rubber over a moulded core, hand finished with a smooth matt surface and a patent rubber valve so the pressure can be topped up when it softens with age. A small tactile valve disc, yellow on the blue and red balls and blue on the yellow one, is the one raised landmark on the surface and doubles as a reference point for orientation. At 16 cm across and 340 g it is light enough for young children and for seated play, bouncy enough for real games, and small enough to hold comfortably in one hand. The colours are chosen for contrast against a gym floor, which matters for players with usable vision, and the multicoloured version adds a high-contrast panel pattern that is easier to pick out while it is moving. The same ball is also made in 19 cm for older players. Made in Germany by KSG.
