A small, dense rubber sphere with a hole through the middle. The hall rope passes through it and the weight sits on the line, so a set of suspended rings can be pulled down to a chosen height and stay there instead of springing back up out of reach. That is a practical accessibility detail in a shared gym. Rings hung at standing height are unusable from a wheelchair or by a shorter or younger athlete; a counterweight on the line makes the same apparatus adjustable without rerigging anything. It is turned from solid rubber rather than cast around a metal core, so it will not chip a floor if it swings loose and it will not rust in a damp hall. The surface is smooth matt brown with a small moulded WV mark on the shoulder and a rubber plug on the side. Two weights, 625 g and 800 g, both 80 mm across. Made in Germany by KSG. The rope is not included.
