IKONN CP-1 Digital Callipers 15 cm

Price: US$114.51

Stainless steel callipers with a 150 mm range that read to a hundredth of a millimetre and say the figure aloud. Outside jaws, inside jaws and a depth rod, so a bolt, a hole and a hole’s depth are all one tool.

Product Information

Callipers answer the questions a tape measure cannot: how thick is this, what size is this bolt, will this dowel fit that hole. Those are exactly the questions that get hardest without sight, because the answer sits on a scale you have to read while both hands are already holding the work. The CP-1 speaks the figure instead, through the IKONN Controller or the myIKONN app, so you can keep both hands on the job. The frame is stainless steel with a 150 mm range and a resolution of 0.01 mm, which is far finer than any household job needs and exactly right for the ones where it matters, such as matching a replacement screw or checking a worn part. Three functions share the same body. The large lower jaws close on the outside of an object. The small upper jaws open inside a hole or a tube for an internal diameter. A thin rod slides out of the tail to measure the depth of a hole or a recess. A thumb roller drives the slide smoothly and a small locking screw holds a measurement in place, so you can set the jaws, lock them, and take the tool to the piece you are matching. Three buttons run under the display: mm and inch, ZERO, which sets a new zero anywhere along the beam, and ON/OFF. The beam is marked with millimetres on one face and inches on the other for a sighted partner. The hardware is made by Gemred, and the box is marked IKONN compatible. It runs on a CR2032 lithium cell.
