The frame is stainless steel with a 150 mm range and a resolution of 0.01 mm, which is far finer than any household job needs and exactly right for the ones where it matters, such as matching a replacement screw or checking a worn part. Three functions share the same body. The large lower jaws close on the outside of an object. The small upper jaws open inside a hole or a tube for an internal diameter. A thin rod slides out of the tail to measure the depth of a hole or a recess. A thumb roller drives the slide smoothly and a small locking screw holds a measurement in place, so you can set the jaws, lock them, and take the tool to the piece you are matching.
