Product Information
The Tactile Boccia Grid (Boccia Touch Board) opens boccia to blind and deafblind players. A referee reads the court and places small pegs on a raised grid to show where each ball has landed; the player then reads the layout with their fingers and plans the next throw, no sight required. The board is a sturdy moulded tray with a finely dotted, raised grid surface. Coloured pegs (red and blue for the two sides, white for the target ball) sit in the grid so positions can be told apart by touch and by colour for sighted helpers. It is usable by players who are blind, have low vision, or are deafblind, and works alongside any standard boccia set. The board comes with an extra set of pegs, printed and braille instructions, and a drawstring storage pouch.
